The City of Fort Myers, Florida Case Study
The housing authority of the city of Fort Myers in Florida is a housing agency that provides attainable housing for families and seniors in the city of Fort Myers. Their main goal is to manage and develop various housing programs based on Section 8 Voucher, i.e. families with very low and moderate income. They have so far administered more than 2000 Section 8 voucher programs in the city of Fort Myers.
The client wanted us to redesign the look and feel of their existing website to make a modern user interface.
The client had one main objective to redo the website and that was to make it easier and faster for customers to find the most commonly accessed content.
The real challenge was to redesign the website to make it more user-friendly and engaging. Besides, the site needed to be industry-appropriate and mobile-friendly.
Planning
Our business analyst team reviewed the website and gathered detailed notes. Also, project requirements were addressed through questionnaires and interviews. The details of the plan were shared with the client before we started working on the project.
Steps We Took
Our highly experienced designers created wireframes for page layouts and design compositions for the new website.
Blue Whale Apps team was able to develop and deliver a website with minimalistic design successfully, responsive layout. With proper management, which included meeting scheduling and follow ups, task assignments, risk identification and control and project team communication, we were able to meet the client’s expectations.
Raleway is an elegant, sans-serif typeface family. Initially designed by Matt Mcinerney as a single thin weight, it was expanded into a 9 weight family by Pablo Impallari and Rodrigo Fuenzalida in 2012 and iKerned by Igino Marini.
The color black is associated with power, fear, mystery, strength, authority, elegance, formality.
Green is the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meaning of growth, harmony, freshness.
We were able to present a fully live, responsive, and functional online website to the client. The client was extremely impressed with the quality of work Blue Whale Apps delivered. The impact was so deep that the client continues to contract with Blue Whale Apps for various projects.
